Tamlyn Anderson

Tamlyn Anderson is a Clinical Psychologist and Sexologist. She is certified as a European Psychosexologist by the European Federation of Sexology and the European Society of Sexual Medicine.

She began working in sexual health in 2013 at an acute physical rehabilitation hospital. Today she runs private practices in South Africa and the United Kingdom, sees clients online, and works as part of multidisciplinary teams.

Her clinical work covers:

sexual health concerns, including female sexual pain, low libido and erectile dysfunction

couples and relationship therapy

perinatal mental health and birth trauma

infertility

sexual wellness

Tamlyn has a special interest in how sexual health is affected by long-term stress, burnout, mood disorders, pregnancy, birth and trauma. She also has nine years of experience in therapy for psychiatric and neurological conditions, including epilepsy, traumatic brain injury and functional neurological disorder (FND). That background shapes her work with anxiety, trauma and physical symptoms that have a psychological component. It also informs her work in sexual rehabilitation after spinal cord injury, including vacuum erection device therapy.

She works with individuals and couples across the lifespan. She uses both short- and long-term therapeutic approaches and adapts them to each person's needs. Tamlyn also presents seminars, webinars and online workshops.
