Dr Louisa Albertyn is a general practitioner with a special interest in sexual health. She obtained her MBChB degree in 2018 at the University of the Free State. Following this she completed 2 years of internship at Potchefstroom hospital. In 2021 she did her community service in the clinics of the Sedibeng District. This confirmed her love for primary health care, to treat a patient holistically and build a trusting relationship with them. During this year she discovered her passion for sexual health and the massive impact it has on a person’s quality of life. She wanted to start saving (sex) lives and joined the Sexology Training Club. Today she is a general practitioner and part of the My Sexual Health team aiming to create awareness that there is help for everyone’s sexual health needs in a safe and trusted space.
Dr Albertyn joined the MSH Sexology Training Club early in her Community Service Year in 2021 and has completed the required sixty hours of CPD accredited training through the Sexology Training Club to join the. She works under the direct supervision of Dr Elna Rudolph and in conjunction with the MSH Team in Johannesburg.
She is also a Member of the Southern African Sexual Health Association (SASHA) and works as a General Practitioner with the practice of Dr Holliday and Venter in Jukskei Park, Johannesburg.
