Avri Spilka is a Johannesburg-based Counselling Psychologist. She runs a private practice in Bryanston, Johannesburg, where she sees individuals, couples and throuples for sex, gender and relationship therapy. She worked for many years in the Southern African NGO sexual health sector with a focus on LGBTQIA+, consensual non-monogamies and BDSM.
As a psychotherapist she has a special interest in sexual wellbeing and working with identities and relationships that fall outside the norm. She also works part-time at a drug rehab centre providing individual, group and family therapy for people who struggle with addiction as well as their loved ones. She is the Gauteng Chair of the Southern African Sexual Health Association, and has been a member of MSH since 2019.
